Sarah Smith is an Emmy Award Winning media relations strategist whose career as a television network news producer spanned three presidents. With 15 years of experience as a journalist, Sarah specializes in thinking like producers by bringing stories to them that will engage their audience. In addition to her 3 Emmy Awards, Sarah has earned a Gracie Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award for her work as a producer.
As a producer for NBC’s TODAY Show and CBS Mornings, Sarah produced interviews for U.S. Presidents, foreign leaders, Congressmen, actors and actresses. When breaking news occured, and it often did, Sarah was the go-to producer for correspondents and anchors at both networks providing editorial direction during live television.
In her current role, Sarah has placed media coverage in top tier outlets including NBC’s TODAY Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, CBS Evening News, NPR, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, USA Today, MSNBC, CNN and the Associated Press. Knowing how important local news is as a trusted source for people across the country, Sarah focuses her strategy on local media outlets which has resulted in securing media coverage in nearly every state.
Sarah grew up in New Jersey where she graduated with a BA in political science from Rutgers University. When Sarah is not sharing client stories with decision-makers in the media, she enjoys spending time with her family in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Virginia.
