KARA HAUCK
Senior Vice President
Kara Hauck is a highly accomplished public relations operative with a distinguished career that spans corporate and brand communications, public affairs and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining Sable Strategy, Kara most recently led the brand communications team at major home improvement retailer, Lowe’s Companies, Inc., where she was responsible for developing and implementing the FORTUNE® 50 company’s external brand communications and public relations strategies. While at Lowe’s, her work extended beyond traditional brand public relations to include spearheading supply chain external communications strategies and managing crisis communication efforts, where Kara's leadership in these areas was instrumental in maintaining the company’s reputation during critical times. Kara’s ability to deliver impact for such a varied clientele underscores her exceptional skill in seamlessly managing complex subject matter across industries.
Kara's professional journey began in the halls of Congress, where she quickly ascended to become a key communications adviser to elected officials at the highest levels of Congressional leadership, including the Speaker of the U.S. House and Conference Chair. This early experience laid a strong foundation for her expertise in strategic communication and public affairs. After nearly a decade in public service, Kara joined Publicis Groupe’s Washington, D.C., operation, one of the largest marketing and communications companies in the world, where she played an integral role in executing successful, award-winning public affairs and communications strategies for a variety of corporate, nonprofit, and trade association clients. Kara returned to public service in 2021 to lead executive marketing and thought leadership for the executive team at March of Dimes, a national nonprofit organization that is fighting for the health of all moms and babies.
Kara is already setting high expectations for her baby boy, whom she and her husband welcomed in February 2024. Given how chatty he is at such an early age, it’s clear he has inherited his mom’s knack for effective communication!
