Deneille Dewar is a Strategic Communications and Employee Engagement professional with more than 15 years of experience helping companies create human-centric workplaces that motivate employees to perform at their best. She’s partnered with CEOs, CHROs and executive leadership teams at various corporate and government organizations to foster cultures of engagement through open, honest and transparent communication.

Deneille spent more than a decade with the Fung Group—a consumer goods supply chain pioneer with 42,000 people in over 40 markets—where she gained deep communications experience in global trading and supply chain management, including logistics, distribution and retail. As head of communications for the Group’s fashion brands and licensing business Global Brands Group, Deneille built the business’s communications function from the ground up to deliver high-quality strategic communications and employee engagement experiences for the company’s global workforce.

She was a trusted communications partner to the C-suite and executive leadership teams in deploying large-scale communications strategies during significant business events, including M&As, post-merger integrations, layoffs, business divestments, and a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Deneille also launched the company’s social impact and volunteer program, founded the global women’s network, go-chaired the DEI committee and co-wrote the company’s CSR annual report.

Deneille’s career began in the Middle East, where she gained experience across the airline, sports and culture industries in Doha, Qatar. She also led the entire communications program on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia for one of the region’s largest sporting events, welcoming thousands of athletes across 43 Asian countries to the Sultanate of Oman.

Deneille grew up in Canada, where she graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce dual degree in Marketing & Human Resources Management. Her deepest passion is to travel and explore the cultures, customs and ways of life of people around the world. She’s lived and worked in eight countries on four continents and today calls New York City home.
